Poker Valuable Reads

The success of the gambling world can be observed at the number of books written about it and the multitudes of movies which feature gambling.

Because there is a great mass of poker books out there, finding the right one for you is not an easy task. If not careful, you may end up with a useless book, and eventually you will regret your choice. Consequently, you will end up saying to yourself that you should have used the money in actual poker game instead.

So to give you better idea of what kinds of poker books are out there in the market, here are some of the best ones:

Ron Rose's Poker Aces. The poker world has produced quite a number of great poker players, and in this book, you will learn much about them. Expect biographies, photo galleries, tournament champions list, and profiles of hall of famers. This book is ideal if you are looking for your own poker idol.

A possible entry to the Poker Aces is Phi Hellmuth, the author of another good poker book entitled Play Poker Like the Pros. If you are looking for poker tips and advices, it would be wiser to buy books written by poker experts themselves, because at least you are sure they know what they are talking about.

If, on the other hand, you want an overview of poker, then buy Sklansky's The Theory of Poker. It covers a lot of things about poker, so this makes for a great reference book on poker. This book is particularly good for analyzing the game of poker, and in emphasizing that psychology plays a big part in games like this.

Perhaps, you would like a book which is more specific, like Caro's Book of Poker Tells. The significance of tells in poker is very much emphasized, if not over-emphasized. If you believe that tells can really help you win poker games, then grab a copy of this book. This was written also by an expert in poker, so you can rest assured that the lessons here are somehow accurate.

If you prefer reading informative books, then try Poker Bible. It sure is one very informative poker book. This book gives not only tips, but also insights and analysis of poker. However, be prepared to pay a high price, because this book is more expensive compared to the others. But if you ask those who have read this already, they will tell you that the book is worth every penny.
